Missing Infos about CD/DVD writer

Hello,

wee got here some CentOS installations where the cd writer maybe is not correct detected, leading to problems with
mounting an inserted CD or DVD:

Is there a way to convince hal to show the last information on the first installation, too (if this leads to let
the user (auto) mount media again)?
