Has there ever been a proposal for hal to return the driver, so that a quirk could be based off a specific driver. Why would anyone want this, Xorg - both nvidia has both nv & nvidia, while ATI has radeon, radeon_tp, radeonhd, fglrx. The quirks for different drivers may well different. Comments?
