Hi!
I've rebuild hal from source. It takes acer_fdi, but I still get dmesg
errors:
root at powerfox:~# lshal | fgrep keymap
  info.callouts.add = {'hal-setup-keymap'} (string list)
  info.capabilities = {'input', 'input.keyboard', 'input.keypad', '
input.keys', 'input.keymap', 'button'} (string list)
  input.keymap.data = {'e025:help', 'e026:setup', 'e027:battery',
'e029:switchvideomode', 'e033:euro', 'e034:dollar', 'e055:wlan',
'e056:wlan', 'e057:bluetooth', 'e058:bluetooth', 'e071:f22', 'e072:f22',
'e073:prog2', 'e074:prog1'} (string list)

dmesg:
[ 3114.620000] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e055 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 3114.988000] atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xd8 on
isa0060/serio0).
[ 3114.988000] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e058 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 3115.204000] atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xd8 on

To Carlos:
Also I got such thing from acer_acpi (I also try to force my 7110 series):
[  588.992000] acer_acpi: Acer Laptop ACPI Extras version 0.9.1
[  588.992000] acer_acpi: Detected Acer AMW0 interface
[ 588.996000] acer_acpi: No EC data for reading bluetooth - bluetooth value
when read will be a 'best guess'
[ 588.996000] acer_acpi: No EC data for reading wireless - wireless value
when read will be a 'best guess'
[ 588.996000] acer_acpi: No EC data for reading mail LED - mail LED value
when read will be a 'best guess'
[ 588.996000] acer_acpi: We need more data from your laptop's Embedded
Controller (EC) to better support it
[  588.996000] acer_acpi: Please see
http://code.google.com/p/aceracpi/wiki/EmbeddedController on how to help

But I can change the brightness, and everything looks ok.
brightness is 0x83 (Also 0xE8 is changed from 240 (Max brigth, 15 in 0x83)
to 239 (min brigth, 0 in 0x83) ).
It's similar to your 5020 as I guess.
