Q on device mounting (umask)

Hi,

I'm somewhat lost in the udev/hal/pmount/... jungle.  So maybe some kind 
soul can help me...

System is KDE 3.5 on Debian, mostly etch.  Goal is that cdrom/usb keys 
should be mounted with the user's umask or, easier but not as nice, with a 
fixed 0007 umask.  Currently everything is mounted with 022.

(I already tried several times asking on the Debian IRC channels and also on 
the freedesktop.org IRC channel.)
