There are some UMTS modems which provide a storage interface with some MByte
space to store driver or some software. That HAL detect these storage
interfaces as a storage device isn't wrong but the fact that these get
detected as CD-ROM is maybe false.
Btw. IIRC you can tell the device with some magic tools/commands to change to
mode to not offer the storage interface.
