Thanks. However, I think this shouldn't go to hal any more, since it
requires a changed hal spec, and hal is in maintenance mode now; it
would also need changes to music players in order to actually work. 

The music player information is currently being transitioned to
"*.mpi" files (music player info) and rhythmbox and friends will stop
using hal and start using mpi. Please see the discussion about this:

So perhaps you can work with Christophe Fergeau to get these quirks
into the .mpi files?
