Map hotkey with hal

Hi!
I'm Francesco and I'm new to the hal team. I'm writing to propose my
hotkey configuration as wrote in this page

I read the guide and I've tried to write my configuration. I'm using
(k)ubuntu jaunty with the updated kde 4.2.3 on a Toshiba M50-148
laptop. I've enable the the hotkey via the omnibook kernel module (svn
install from http://omnibook.sourceforge.net) and mapped the key.
I put my fdi in the /usr/share/hal/fdi/information/10freedesktop/
folder. It possible to add this file to the hal package?
