Ah, I see. So, all my friends need in libthai is just the shaping feature.
However, that linking has pulled in the word break code with it.

And the question becomes how to extract that particular feature
without pulling in the whole library. I hate cut-and-paste and maintaining
multiple copies of the same code, BTW.
