    unicode: rework virtual functions for subclassing
    
    Unicode data providers can now be subclassed, including support for
    chain-up.  The interface should now be nicely bindable, as well.

    _get_glyph_{infos,positions}: length out parameter
    
    Return the length of the arrays.
