harfbuzz.old is used in:

Qt
Older Pango (not the shapers, only OTL engine)
Chromium Linux

harfbuzz-ng is used in:
Newer Pango (not the shapers yet, only OTL engine)
Firefox
Qt port on the way
Chromium port on the way
Quite a few other ports on the way
