That makes sense; we take periodic updates of the harfbuzz code, with 
the most recent, I think, being HB version 0.9.6 plus some followup 
fixes[1], which is targeted for Firefox 19 (currently in Aurora).

So if you're seeing harfbuzz-related issues in Firefox, it's always 
worth testing with Aurora (or even Nightly) builds to see if there's 
already a fix in the pipeline.

(And if there are rendering problems that you see in Nightly, but 
believe should be fixed in harfbuzz trunk, then filing a new bug report 
with a specific testcase is a good way to prompt us to take a further 
update.)
