well, actually I prefer not having global anyway... but global per global
I believe the static is better.

Another thing that I got question myself yesterday... is about this getting
used by the tool/intel_pm_rpm --setup-d3cold...

when the restore takes place in that case? I don't believe we should restore
at all in that case. So that tool could be used by users to setup initial
scripts and always get d3cold as default behavior.
