In each subprocess you will get the same numbers, is it your
intention ? You can use igt_srandom() before fork like:

	igt_srandom();
	r = rand();
	igt_fork(n, nproc) {
		...
		srandom(r + n);
		for (...) {
			idx = rand() % num_engines;
			...
		}
