The launcher is a GTK+ program and doesn't use OpenGL, so I can't see how this
would be a Mesa issue.

It's /possible/ that it's a 2D driver issue, so reassigning to Chris for now.  
That said, I've always had problems with Trine's launchers, so I'm suspicious
it might be a bug in that, or bad 32-bit GTK engine theme interaction.  Not
sure.
