Patch to use RGBA non-sRGB formats for compatibility checks

I've attached a patch which I think should fix it.  Unfortunately, I've been
trying all day and have yet to be able to reproduce it on a Sky Lake laptop. 
Please test and let me know if that fixes the bug.
