I have updated the libraries to 18.3.4. I also took the opportunity to upgrade
the xscreensaver packages since the problem seems to only occur after the
screensaver has activated. I will report back as soon as I have any issues, or
in a couple of weeks if none.

FWIW, I have not had any GPU hangs logged since the last one that I reported. I
have had occasional screen flickering issue that resembles several power off/on
cycles in rapid succession, sometimes one or two, sometimes several. But that
could always be my new monitor, especially since I see nothing in the logs.
