Sorry about that. You're totally right.
I use mpv daily on my HSW and I've never experienced similar problems. I have
configured mpv to use OpenGL output and VAAPI hardware decoding (I believe this
is what upstream recommends for Intel GPUs)
mattst88@macbook ~ % cat ~/.mpv/config
vo=opengl
hwdec=vaapi
At this point because no one investigated your bug in a timely manner, we need
you to tell us if you can reproduce it with currently supported software.
Please test a new version of Mesa (12 or 13) and mark as REOPENED
if you can reproduce and RESOLVED/* if you cannot reproduce.</pre>
