<pre>Seems like a common problem independent of the actual OS across Intel graphics
devices:

I have tried many kernels from 4.4 to 4.9. All exhibit the same issue.
Currently on Ubuntu 16.10 with the latest intel graphics drivers.
Display port works fine. I have swapped cables and tried different monitors.
Same issue. Rebooting gets nback the hdmi display. On resume, the port looks
dead.
I noticed a similar issue: <a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_RESOLVED bz_closed"
title="RESOLVED FIXED - Failure to wake monitor after sleep on Haswell graphics driver under 4.4.1"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=94014">https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94014</a>
Please let me know how I can help to debug the issue. Thanks</pre>
