Hello,

  any hint I could use to get a console ? is there a xrandr like command I
could pass to the kernel ? 

  I am now in 3.6.8 but I have often X freeze after gdm login, gnome gets up
and then nothing, I can only move my mouse and nothing more... and since I
cannot get a console I must reboot...

X version: 1.12.4
