This has been happening on every 3.7-RC I've tried. It occurs within minutes of
booting up and I have to give up and reboot into 3.6.x for a usable desktop.

The main activity on fixing this bug appears to be here. I do use the rc6 boot
flag and haven't tried disabling it.
