Description:
After upgrading from linux 3.5.7 to 3.6.8 to diagnose bug 57958, I'm
encountering very frequent freezes when playing gzdoom (+brutal doom mod, which
introduces lots of grahpical effects). During scenes with lots of gore,
graphics tend to freeze. linux 3.5.7 didn't exhibit this bug. ps:

  PID CMD STAT WCHAN
 1992 /usr/bin/X -nolisten tcp -b Ds+ -

I also had one occasion (out of 6) where the entire machine froze, making it
impossible to even SSH in.

System environment:
-- chipset: Intel GM45
-- system architecture: 64-bit
-- xf86-video-intel: 2.2.15
-- xserver: 1.13.0
-- mesa: 9.0
-- libdrm: 2.4.40
-- kernel: gentoo-sources-3.6.8
-- Linux distribution: Gentoo
-- Machine or mobo model: Lenovo Thinkpad SL510
-- Display connector: LVDS @ 1920x1080
