Nah, i945gm should have 3D. At least it works here - but first we need to
retest with the above patch applied to ensure your gpu is still alive when you
boot into the desktop. Please check dmesg for any "gpu hang" messages or other
issues, and if there's nothing check glxinfo and whether glxgears works.
