As seen in the attached dmesg output, that line has appeared with kernel-3.8,
permanently, while 3.6 and 3.7 are OK:

[    0.955012] [drm] GMBUS [i915 gmbus dpb] timed out, falling back to bit
banging on pin 5


The following two lines appear in those cases where there is no terminal:

[    1.000013] i915 0000:00:02.0: No connectors reported connected with modes
[    1.000058] [drm] Cannot find any crtc or sizes - going 1024x768


After init, my display goes standby until X starts just fine. With the
exception of the phenomenon in bug 58867, which is part of every boot.
