BTW. I've tried one of the newest Ubuntu kernel too (3.7.0-030700rc6) but it
didn't help. In fact with 3.3.8 I did get something on the display (but no
keyboard, no network) and with 3.7.0 I just had a blank screen, and no
keyboard, no network.
