Andrzej, it's a catch-22. Generally speaking, we can't just backport commits to
stable kernels unless they are proven to fix an issue. If everyone waited for
the fixes to land in stable, they never would, because they need to be tested
first.

This particular commit seems likely to be eventually backported anyway, because
it fixes an issue for someone else. Whether it fixes the issue for you we don't
know for sure. If it doesn't, and you only find out after waiting for a stable
release to waterfall through your distro, it will have taken quite a while.

It would help your own cause to try the upstream kernel.
