all with GREY consoles (backlight on, but "black" or better a "GREY" display)

as for comment#17: the HANG was not reproducible, just did a quick boot with
the same options (without logging in and with ctrl-alt-del instead of "shutdown
-r now") which succeeded.


BTW: making a diff of attachment#107127 and attachment#107129 (the first two)
