On rc6 without acpi_backlight=vendor, the backlight won't come on at all at
1920x1080, but it will at lesser resolutions.  It won't even respond to my
switching resolutions "trick".

The acpi_osi="!Windows 2012" command gave me back my keyboard brightness
controls, which is nice, so thanks for that one.  :)  But it didn't magically
make the backlight work at 1920x1080.
