I bisected the corruption down to commit
ed40a7c3de3bbb178278c05907e59239712b98b6: sna/gen6+: Tweak semaphore avoidance
for composite operations. I get small black boxes when scrolling in Firefox on
a page with a lot text as of this commit. This page reproduces it pretty
readily:
