I really can't reproduce your bug. Can you please attach the full "dmesg" from
right before you run module_reload? Please do it with drm.debug=0xe. Also
please attach the output of "lsmod" from right before when you run
module_reload.
Also, please check if when you run module_reload you get some error messages
about module i915 still being loaded.
Also, please check whether you're just getting a backlight bug or a real full
machine hang.
I'm running drm-intel-nightly.
