That kernel option should also give you working VGA again (it seems to pick a
different resolution in 3.7 which your screen probably doesn't like). If that
(or manually adjusting the resolution with xrandr/xorg.conf) doesn't bring VGA
back, please reopen. Since that should be a bug we very well can fix ;-)
