Sorry for remaining silent... the spam filter all of a sudden decided that it
did not like this thread and I missed the last messages. I only realized it
today.

The latest git seems to fix the issue for me!!! I have tested with a couple of
presentations with effects on and off for fullscreen windows and I could play
all of them fine. Should it happen again I'll reopen the bug.
