I greped both .configs and they have exactly the same:

CONFIG_INTEL_IOMMU=y
CONFIG_INTEL_IOMMU_DEFAULT_ON=y
CONFIG_INTEL_IOMMU_FLOPPY_WA=y


I applied the patch against 3.7.1, it still freezes ...
