I would like to bisect more, but it's hard. During testing it became apparent
that this is another timing related issue. For several reboots it sometimes
works, then at random it doesn't anymore. The same kernel image that seemingly
reproduced the behaviour with absolute certainty weeks ago, suddenly worked
again a few days ago. The only thing I can say for sure is that I never saw
that behaviour before 3.8 merge window.
