Test on latest -nightly branch.
output:
 ./ZZ_hangman
checking /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state
rings stopped
gpu hang correctly detected
checking /sys/class/drm/card0/error
rings stopped
gpu hang correctly detected

dmesg has <6>[ 1438.703273] [drm] capturing error event; look for more
information in /sys/class/drm/card0/error

# cat /sys/class/drm/card0/error
no error state collected

Is it expected?
