Much appreciated Kamal. Happy to test any patches you want for this bug. 

Reading the comments above, it says the Sandy Bridge is the only one with a
quirk? Ivy Bridge was actually fine all along / suffering from a different bug.
I'm looking at your comment in #81, though maybe im reading that improperly.
