No, it is not like that, but there is a difference regarding the screen
resolution. When i boot in legacy mode i can select linux bootloader
(gummiboot) from the bootmenu and it shows up at VGA or SVGA or something like
that. The kernel boots up fine from there and chooses the correct mode. When i
boot in uefi only mode screen resolution in gummiboot seems to be full-hd(ish)
and mode switching while the kernel boots up fails.
