Clean install of 13.04 on a Lenovo X60 installs fine but booting system doesn't
give you a login screen.

The screen displays BIOS, a plain purple screen and then nothing. If I close
the lid to force a sleep and then re-awake the machine it works fine.

Installed kernel was 3.8.0-23.34, changed grub to use nomodeset which sort of
worked although display was very slow and unusable.

Updated to 3.8.0-23.34 but no changed.

Updated to 3.8.0-23.34 and working as expected.
