jkp, Ulf, thanks for testing. With patches 110051 and 110101 the link training
succeeds on first attempt in all cases. I'm going to have to ask you to try the
patches separately to see which one helps. I know it's tedious but we *are*
making progress here. Thanks.

It is slightly disappointing this doesn't fix the display yet, but we'll get
there.
