It appears the patch from attachment 110101 fixes link training for all cases.
Except comment 194 which has other stuff on top. Would be interesting to see
-nightly + the patch in CSM without anything extra.

I'm checking some details the with the hw designers to finish off the patch,
and we can tick one issue off the list. Unfortunately it looks like that is not
going to fix the bug. :(

The issues seen here:

1) Clock recovery part of link training fails.

2) Black screen with link computation done in 18 bpp. Works if computation is
done in 24 bpp, and dithering to 18 bpp is set after that.

3) In UEFI mode of affected machines, the VBT reports 18 bpp instead of 24 bpp,
triggering the above.
