[Bug 70120] On Asus TX300, in CSM mode, with external monitor, failure to log in to X

Lately at least, it seems the bug appears consistently, thought the timing of
when it appears varies somewhat - sometimes before selecting user name,
sometimes when typing password. (distrib a recent Ubuntu)
