          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 77266
                CC: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Assignee: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Display brightness adjustment not working with kernel
                    3.14 and Intel IvyBridge
        QA Contact: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Severity: major
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: lviggiani at gmail.com
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
            Status: NEW
           Version: XOrg CVS
         Component: DRM/Intel
           Product: DRI

After upgrading to linux 3.14 x86_64 on ArchLinux, using either the fn keys or
the slider provided by gnome shell will not change the display brigthness on my
Dell XPS 13 (L322X model) with Intel IvyBridge integrated vido card.

However, after executing the following command, the display brightness
adjustments (nf key, slider menu etc) starts working again:

su -c "echo 0 > /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness"
