So far, I have only seen a pattern of good behaviour in the glyph rendering.
About the only missed improvement would be to remove overdrawn copies back from
the TearFree buffers.

Back to normal (still using xf86-video-intel.git), is there any abnormalities
in CPU loading? Where does sudo perf top say all the time is being spent?
