Any thoughts on where we go next with this?

I'm happy to help work through the issue using this machine as a test case if
there are things that you want to investigate.

But if you think we're at a dead end then I'd like to know because I'll have to
make tough decisions around what to do with the hardware and/or OS.

I'd appreciate getting your perspective on it.
