          Assignee: chris at chris-wilson.co.uk
Summary: Hang in xorg boot with Oracle Solaris
        QA Contact: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Solaris
          Reporter: andrea.galantini at gmail.com
          Hardware: Other
            Status: NEW
           Version: unspecified
         Component: Driver/intel
           Product: xorg

I am experiencing a nasty problem, during boot of my Solaris box, sometimes I
have the sessoin completely hung and I have to power down with button and
retry.

I found this situation in Xorg.0.log:

[ 53.286] (**) mouse: (accel) acceleration threshold: 4
[ 54.335] (II) intel(0): EDID vendor "SEC", prod id 12876
[ 54.335] (II) intel(0): Printing DDC gathered Modelines:
[ 54.335] (II) intel(0): Modeline "1600x900"x0.0 98.21 1600 1648 1680
1760 900 902 907 930 -hsync -vsync (55.8 kHz eP)
[STOPPED HERE]

and dtracing it it also seems to be related to:

hal-system-lcd-get-brightness-sunos

in fact, connected to AC it happens lees often than using battery.
