I am using 64-bit Fedora 20 (kernel 3.15.8) with gnome 3.10.2 on Haswell
Celeron G1820 with integrated Intel HD graphics. Sometimes, usually when I am
using Mozilla Firefox 31.0, the screen completely freezes, only the mouse
cursor moves. I thought I have solved it by updating Intel drivers from
"https://01.org/linuxgraphics/", but after two days it happened again. When I
run "journalctl", it shows:
Aug 09 18:17:52 pc-fedora.group kernel: [drm] stuck on render ring
Aug 09 18:17:52 pc-fedora.group kernel: [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 0:0x87d3bffa, in
gnome-shell [1510], reason: Ring hung, action: reset
Aug 09 18:17:52 pc-fedora.group kernel: [drm] GPU hangs can indicate a bug
anywhere in the entire gfx stack, including userspace.
Aug 09 18:17:52 pc-fedora.group kernel: [drm] Please file a _new_ bug report on
bugs.freedesktop.org against DRI -> DRM/Intel
Aug 09 18:17:52 pc-fedora.group kernel: [drm] drm/i915 developers can then
reassign to the right component if it's not a kernel issue.
Aug 09 18:17:52 pc-fedora.group kernel: [drm] The gpu crash dump is required to
analyze gpu hangs, so please always attach it.
Aug 09 18:17:52 pc-fedora.group kernel: [drm] GPU crash dump saved to
/sys/class/drm/card0/error
Aug 09 18:17:54 pc-fedora.group kernel: [drm] Enabling RC6 states: RC6 on, RC6p
off, RC6pp off
