1. boot with drm.debug=6, resolution is 1024x768 (panel's native resolution)
pull dmesg as attached.
2. in terminal
a) run cvt 800 600 to get 800x600 parameters
b) run xrandr --newmode "800x600_60.00" 38.25 800 832 912 1024 600 603
607 624 -hsync +vsync
c) run xrandr --addmode DP2 "800x600_60.00"
d) run xrandr to check new mode
DP2 connected 1024x768+316+768 (normal left inverted right x axis y
axis) 518mm x 333mm
1024x768 59.9*+ 85.0
848x480 60.0
800x600_60.00 (0x85) 38.2MHz
h: width 800 start 832 end 912 total 1024 skew 0 clock 37.4KHz
v: height 600 start 603 end 607 total 624 clock 59.9Hz
e) run xrandr to set new mode
xrandr --output DP2 --mode 800x600_60.00
3. when set 800x600 fail, pull xlog and dmesg as attached.
