All I am getting with xtrace is this:

$ xtrace /usr/bin/xbmc -fs | tee -a xbmc-xtrace.txt
Function              File

Press return here to close xterm(/usr/bin/xbmc).

$ ls -al *txt

It is probably not being run correctly. Actually, it had a dependency on
'xterm' (which also did not print anything in it)

I tried running it on the xbmc.bin as it appeared to be needing a binary, but
it still did not print any functions.

However, I ran a strace instead which I'll include here.
