[Bug 81291] dmesg filled with modeset errors

I recently tried the latest 3.17.0-rc1. The computer will suspend and resume
correctly, but I am still having:
1) corrupted graphics, mainly fonts, but also shapes
2) many repeated warnings in the dmesg log.
