Working really well here too! :-)  I used only the 2nd 3.17 kernel patch from
Peter Frühberger (the one without the ringbuffer changes).

For reference I am running Arch Linux 3.17 x86_64 with a Haswell Pentium G3240
CPU. Am testing using XBMC 13.2 Gotham and so far have not had any gpu hangs,
frame drops or skips during HD video playback. :-)

Thanks very much Chris Wilson for all your hard work on fixing this and to
Peter Frühberger.

When do you think is it likely this patch may be added to the latest kernel at
kernel.org? Sorry for asking but I am unfamiliar with how the Linux kernel
patch submission process works.
