--- Comment #9 from Chris <cpollock at embarqmail.com> ---
I'm also experiencing this same bug on my Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS system. This
seemed to have started on 13 September 2014. The kernel in use at that time
was:

Linux version 3.13.0-36-generic (buildd at toyol) (gcc version 4.8.2 (Ubuntu
4.8.2-19ubuntu1) ) #63-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 3 21:30:07 UTC 2014 (Ubuntu
3.13.0-36.63-generic 3.13.11.6)

Has continued through these kernel versions:

Linux version 3.13.0-37-generic (buildd at kapok) (gcc version 4.8.2 (Ubuntu
4.8.2-19ubuntu1) ) #64-Ubuntu SMP Mon Sep 22 21:28:38 UTC 2014 (Ubuntu
3.13.0-37.64-generic 3.13.11.7)

Linux version 3.13.0-39-generic (buildd at toyol) (gcc version 4.8.2 (Ubuntu
4.8.2-19ubuntu1) ) #66-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 28 13:30:27 UTC 2014 (Ubuntu
3.13.0-39.66-generic 3.13.11.8)

Linux version 3.13.0-40-generic (buildd at comet) (gcc version 4.8.2 (Ubuntu
4.8.2-19ubuntu1) ) #69-Ubuntu SMP Thu Nov 13 17:53:56 UTC 2014 (Ubuntu
3.13.0-40.69-generic 3.13.11.10)

Linux version 3.13.0-43-generic (buildd at tipua) (gcc version 4.8.2 (Ubuntu
4.8.2-19ubuntu1) ) #72-Ubuntu SMP Mon Dec 8 19:35:06 UTC 2014 (Ubuntu
3.13.0-43.72-generic 3.13.11.11)

There were three instances when the error showed up however it did not lockup
the system. Two of those times were after I upgraded to Evolution 3.12.7 and it
was causing my local IMAP server to connect, log-in and disconnect every 90
seconds. The other I could see no cause for it.

As with the original reporter this can't be reproduced on demand. I've also
added two attachments. The output of dmidecode and lshw.
